Okay pretty simple, our dogs of war servers running under the [DOW] badge are a Zero tolerance section for hackers.
We try everything we can to eliminate hackers so that we all may have a fun at a good game. No DOW players are hackers. Most of the Dogs have been playing this game for almost a year together. Most of the Dogs are better than the average player. Most Dogs understand weopons for certain critical points of the map and those that work best in other areas or situations.
If you are playing in our server or another and thier are several DOW clan members playing together, enjoy the game and play to the best of your ability. As a clan we try to play together as that is the point of being in a clan, the kinship.
Some may complain the teams are unfair.... well, this is where you learn to play better and rise to the occasion. If you are a complainer, whiner, crybaby ..this game of war is not for you!
Now back to the theme ,a point of serious problem that ruins the game is hackers. I can almost understand a 12 year old wanting to try a new hack he got out of the latest issue of a magazine, like the GOD garbage we see being typed in all the time by a noob,lol. However, what is the point and impact on the game ? Devastating to say the least. Case in point:
2 teams fighting tooth and nail for 25 minutes of a game, long good battle, then somebody joins, flag is missing, dang that guy is fast... speed hacker captures the flag 3x in row and has just blew the hole game for everybody for no reason other than he wanted to hack ???? So what any moron can hack, all you have to do is type in what they tell you to.. how hard is that ? It would be much harder to actually play honestly. Sure some morons have better hacks than others, but why hack in multiplayer when everybody knows you are just some moron using a hack. Why does a magazine company put out the hacks for people to use? I do not know .. I wish they would not, then at least a hacker could be proud he thought of it wrote the program for it and it works. But I bet he would be the only one. Nobody wants to play with hackers, simply is no fun for those playing.
What do we do ?
Well we run punkbuster and have incorporated streaming PB which is suppossed to help greatly. As we all know it is not perfect as we still see alot of hackers that are not caught, and then they sometimes do get caught as they play and use it more. The end result is if pb catches thier act, they get banned. If we catch you, your banned from our servers period.
An example is when some yo-yo comes in and uses that invisible hack and scores with the flag. We see who you are and then we ban you and all of your nicknames from our server permanetley.
In closing you have to understand, there are better players than you, and me, and the Dogs out there. Do not think everybody who beats you is a hacker, do question when somebody you play all the time all of a sudden has a 3-1 kill ratio and thier name is not Viper....
