Pizzaboy idea comes to fruition

Paws up! An idea started by our very own DOW Pizzaboy has wrapped up with a good feeling of dog tired success! A small version of a clan match was the idea that spawned into a lot of banter back and forth with DOW Easybeat and DOW Prometheus helping to iron out the details. The map was always going to be DOW Darkwood, due to its smaller, faster game which seems ideal for 1-1 play, which really is where the thought was born, but, 2-2 was brought up and finally 3-3 match. Times 12 minute rounds or to 8 points, no sudden death until final match.

4 – 3 person teams (politically correct for DOW Duchess might be reading) signed up.

Using 2 servers was the idea to help move the games along. Some technical difficulties due to not being able to lock one of the servers caused Easy some headaches.

Dow Pizza started out with a win vs. OTF, 2-0 while DOW Easybeat got a scratch due to ASU player mia.

Next match was DOW vs. DOW, after a major offensive strategy screw up on DOW Vipers part that resulted in the DOW Easybeats scoring just about one minute into the game. However, with good dog pounding skill Team Pizza got a score half way into the game and that was it for a 1-1 tie game. Meanwhile ASU had 3 playing against OTF, which saw OTF hand ASU their first real loss.

3rd round saw ASU vs. Pizza. After a delay, the DOGS were on all 4 paws and pack wild racking up the slightly dazed unfamiliar ASU a virtual beating 8-1.

Easybeat vs. OTF was a very strong fought battle where OTF had a major 2-0 lead early in game. The Easybeat Dogs did not tuck tail, run and hide, they managed to even it up with some slinky dog type behavior. Both teams grabbed flag at the end of the game and seemed destined to tie 2-2 with 30 seconds left……. low and behold the Dogs GUMMY and Easy rose to the occasion and got the flag back to base and DOW Prometheus sank the flag home with a flea bounce for a win with seconds remaining. Well played game for both teams.
